Anica Lopez,Teacher

Hi, my name is Anica Lopez. I graduated from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi with a Bachelor’s of Science. I taught middle school in my hometown in Kenedy, TX for six years. This is my seventh year at Torres Elementary and I am so excited to be back! My husband is a registered nurse at Citizens Medical Center and we are proud parents of our son Liam, daughter Myla, and two dogs, Jack and Jill.  My husband and I love to go fishing, watch movies, and spend time with our families.

Hi! My name is Heather Tyler, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Torres Elementary. I have been a Torres Tiger since its doors opened in 2009, and this is my 20th year to be an educator of young scholars.I am the mother of a beautiful and vibrant fifteen year old daughter and the wife of a very hard working husband, who together bring joy to my life every day. I attended Texas A&M University (whoop!) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am proud to wear my "I BLEED MAROON" t-shirt on endless occasions, especially on Saturday game days when I am also waving my 12th man towel with loads of Aggie spirit. For me, being a teacher is not a job, instead it is a career that I find both challenging and rewarding.I am looking forward to another year of rigorous learning and limitless success for all of my students.

Christin Hall, Teacher

My name is Lea Hall, I graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria 2015.

I am happy to say that this is my second year teaching fourth grade. I am so lucky to be in my fourth year of teaching here at Torres.

My husband and two awesome boys definitely keep me busy. When I am not at school I am my kids #1 fan and cheerleader at their sporting events. We love football, baseball and soccer!

I am excited to be a Torres Tiger and I'm looking forward to another wonderful year!
