The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees has approved the appointment of Micah Hernandez as the new principal of Victoria West High School.
Hernandez, who has served as an Associate Principal at Victoria West for the past two years, brings a strong background in instructional leadership and campus administration. Prior to this role, she served as an assistant principal at Victoria West for one year and was also an assistant principal at the former Stroman Middle School. From 2019 to 2021, Hernandez served as a curriculum coordinator, supporting academic achievement across the district.
With a total of 18 years in education, Hernandez’s experience spans both the classroom and leadership levels, reflecting his commitment to student success and continuous improvement.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as the principal of Victoria West High School,” said Hernandez. “I’ve been proud to be part of the Warrior family, and I look forward to continuing our work together to support student growth, build strong relationships, and foster a culture of excellence.”
Hernandez will officially begin her role as principal effective immediately.
